The Rooks of Kathmandu (2018)

“Tales From Kawau”  is a song I wrote about life changing travelling experiences on a two month backpacking trip in New Zealand. I worked my way round on organic farms as a volunteer and visited a wetland reserve near Dunedin. Recorded at Leeds Music College by YBD videos in December 2017. YBD videos are also part of It’s Live agency.

We met up in Catalunya, outside Barcelona, and made this music video in February 2015. Such blue skies compared to the grey winters of the north west of England having flown over from Liverpool the day before. Such a happy day.

Song and words by Mike Kneafsey (of Sweeney Astray). Sound engineered by Elliott Dryden. Filmed at roques albes in artes (Barcelona). Recorded and edited by SIMI (www.simi.cat).

Mike Kneafsey (vocals/guitar); Marta Canellas (cello) – plus bass by Elliott Dryden.
